OnePlus has begun rolling out a new software update of its own skin, dubbed the OxygenOS 5.1.4 for the OnePlus 5 and the OnePlus 5T users.
The new OxygenOS 5.1.4 has introduced the added sleep standby optimization which can be activated by heading to the Settings option and then the Battery option. Following which select the Battery optimization option, then the Advanced optimization, and finally then Sleep standby optimization option.
The update has added improvements to photo clarity, Added group messaging, along with updated Android security patch to 2018.7. Additionally, the OxygenOS 5.1.4 has introduced several general bug fixes.
The new OxygenOS 5.1.4 has started rolling out via an OTA update and will eventually reach out to all the OnePlus 5 and OnePlus 5T users.
To recall, the OnePlus 5 and the OnePlus 5T come with a 5.5-inch full HD Optic AMOLED display and a 6.01-inch full HD+ full Optic AMOLED display with an aspect ratio rated at 18:9, respectively.
Both are powered by the same Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor and come in two RAM/ROM options: 6GB RAM/64GB ROM, and 8GB RAM/128 ROM. The battery capacity stands at 3,300mAh with the company’s Dash Charge tech for fast charging.
The OnePlus 5T has the dual rear camera setup with the similar camera configuration as the OnePlus 5, rated at 16-megapixel and 20-megapixel. However, the secondary camera at the back in the OnePlus 5T comes with changed aperture of f/1.7 with the absence of a telephoto lens, which the OnePlus 5 has. The front-facing shooter for both the smartphones is rated at 16-megapixel.
Additionally, both the OnePlus 5 and the OnePlus 5T come with a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner and Face Unlock.
