OPPO, for quite some time has been leaving official hints about its Find X flagship. Now, the smartphone has been made official at an event in Paris with arguably revolutionary technologies.
Firstly, the display seeks a full edge-to-edge experience with an aspect ratio and screen-to-body ratio rated at 19:9 and 93.8 per cent, respectively. The display is called Panoramic Arc Screen, spanning 6.42 inch and is a full HD+ AMOLED one.
Secondly, the Find X supports 3D cameras at the back and the front. We have the front camera which only meets our eyes when we have to use it; only when we launch the camera app, the top portion (where the 25-megapixel selfie camera lies) pops up and clicks for you. Once you are done, it just vanishes for the motorised camera slider effect and to keep up with the bezel-less area.
Additionally, the front shooter supports AI-based camera features, 3D lighting portraits and 3D Omoji, much like Apple’s Animoji.
At the back, there is a dual-camera setup rated at 20-megapixel and 16-megapixel which supports AI Scene Recognition tech, OIS, LED flash and Bokeh effect.
Under the hood, there is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 mobile platform, 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. The battery capacity stands at 3,730mAh with VOOC fast charging tech, and the smartphone runs ColorOS 5.1 based on Android 8.1 Oreo.
Additionally, the OPPO Find X supports O-Face recognition using 3D Structured Light Technology for intelligent face unlocking.
The OPPO Find X comes in Bordeaux Red and Glacier Blue colour options and is priced at Euros 999 (around Rs 78,650). India is expected to get the Find X is July, while the China launch is scheduled foe June 29.
Furthermore, there is a Lamborghini special edition (for Euros 1,699) of the Find X with design tweaks, Lamborghini logo at the back, an increased 512GB of ROM, and support for Super VOOC Flash Charge which is expected to fully charge the smartphone in 35 minutes.
