Motorola teases the launch of new smartphones on August 2

Lenovo-owned Motorola is all geared up to launch new smartphones for which the company has released an official teaser, confirming their launch date.

According to a teaser video, the new smartphones will hit the stage at an event scheduled for August 2 in Chicago at 2 pm, which happens to be Motorola’s headquarters.

While the teaser video doesn’t reveal much about the upcoming devices, the caption reads, “Mark your calendar. On August 2, we’re making a big announcement at Motorola’s HQ in Chicago. Say “hello” to a whole new way to connect, stream, download, video chat, and more. Are you ready?” hinting at a huge launch.

Even though there is no information regarding what the to-be-announced devices will be, previous rumours and leaks hint at the launch of the alleged Motorola Moto Z3 and Moto One Power at the August 2 event.

The Moto One Power is expected to be an Android One smartphone and is speculated to come with a 6-inch display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 processor, 4GB or 6GB RAM options, 64GB of ROM, and a dual-camera setup at the back.

The Moto Z3 Play, on the other hand, is likely to be the successor to the Moto Z2 Force. However, not much is known about it.

To recall, the aforementioned information is just a rumour and we’d like you to take it with a grain of salt. To know what ‘big’ Motorola announces, we need to wait until the August 2 event.

So, stay tuned for more information.
