Microsoft finally introduces the updated Surface Pro foldable laptop in India

The successor and updated version of Surface Pro 4, Microsoft Surface Pro is now launched in India at a price of Rs 64,999. The new foldable Surface Pro laptop will be available in the nation via Amazon India, Flipkart, as well as Croma, Reliance Digital, Vijay Sales and other authorized retailers in the country, and also on the official Microsoft stores.

Initially, the updated Surface Pro 5 was unleashed back in May last year. The Surface Pro brings improvements over the Pro 4 in two key areas – performance and battery life – without affecting the thin and light form factor claims BGR and Microsoft.

The device appears in two variants, a 4GB/8GB/16GB RAM, and options for either 128GB or 256GB or 512GB inbuilt storage. For crystal-clear video calling option, the laptop is fueled by a 5MP video camera with a support for 1080p quality. Along with Windows Hello face authentication camera the laptop also features an 8MP primary camera for the users who want to click images from their tablets.

Weighing just 800 grams and 8.5mm thin, the updated Surface Pro laptop is backed by 7th generation Intel Core chipset. Furthermore, it features a 12.3-inch PixelSense Display with a resolution of 2736×1824 pixels, and 3:2 aspect ratios. The hybrid device can be configured with 7th generation Core m3, Core i5 or Core i7 SoCs.

The connectivity option includes Bluetooth and Wi-Fi, but is deprived of having a LTE option. This foldable laptop also appears with a top-notch Surface Pen with 4096 levels of pressure sensitivity and support for inking.

The laptop is priced at Rs 64,999 for the base variant with Core m3, 4GB RAM and 128GB SSD storage. The Core i5 model with 4GB RAM and 128GB SSD storage is priced at Rs 79,999, while the 8GB RAM, 256GB SSD variant is priced at Rs 106,999. The Core i7 model with 8GB RAM and 256GB SSD is priced at Rs 133,999, while the top-end model with 16GB RAM and 512GB SSD storage will set you back by Rs 182,999. (Via BGR Price listing).
