Meizu has unveiled the rumoured Meizu 16 and the Meizu 16 Plus official at an event in China.
Both the Meizu 16 and the Meizu 16 Plus come with the in-display fingerprint scanner as their main highlight.
The Meizu 16 and the Meizu 16 Plus sport a bezel-less display, rated at 6-inch and 6.5-inch, respectively. The displays are Full HD+ Super AMOLED in nature. The smartphones are powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 mobile platform.
On the camera front, both the Meizu 16 and the 16 Plus house dual cameras at the back, configured at 20-megapixel and 12-megapixel. The front-facing snapper stands at 20-megapixel.
While the Meizu 16 comes in 6GB RAM/64GB ROM (for CNY 2,698), 6GB RAM/128GB ROM (for CNY 2,998) and 8GB RAM/128GB ROM (for CNY 3,298) variants, the Meizu 16 Plus has 6GB RAM/128GB ROM (for CNY 3,198), 8GB RAM/128GB ROM (for CNY 3,498) and 8GB RAM/256GB ROM (for CNY 3,998) options.
The Meizu 16 gets its fuel from a 3,010mAh battery, while the Meizu 16 Plus has a bigger 3,640mAh battery capacity. Both the smartphones run the company’s Flyme OS based on Android 8.1 Oreo.
Additionally, the Meizu 16 and the Meizu 16 Plus come with support for mCharge fast charging and AI Face Unlock.
The Meizu 16 and the Meizu 16 Plus will be up for grabs, starting August 16 and August 20, respectively in China.
