LG X2 with Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset announced


LG has unveiled a new budget smartphone, known as the LG X2 in its X series in South Korea.

In terms of the specifications, the LG X2 comes with a 5-inch HD display with a screen resolution rated at 1,280 x 720 pixels. The smartphone is powered by quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor ticking at 1.3GHz. The device has 2GB of RAM and 16GB of inbuilt storage which can be further expanded via a memory card.

On the camera front, there is an 8-megapixel rear snapper with LED flash, with the front-facing snapper standing at 5-megapixel for selfies and video calling. The smartphone comes with camera features such as Auto Shot which recognizes faces while taking pictures and Quick Share to share images instantly via messages.

The LG X2 gets its power from a 2,500mAh battery and runs Android 7.1.2 Nougat. The smartphone is topped with various connectivity options such as 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth v4.2, FM radio, and GPS. Additionally, the smartphone has a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner.

The LG X2 comes with a price tag of KRW 1,98,000 (around Rs 12,000) and will be available via telecom operators such as SK Telink, KTM Mobile, CJ HelloVision and U-Mobi in South Korea.

However, there is no word on its availability in India.
