Huawei has added a new budget smartphone to its Y series, dubbed the Huawei Y6 (2018) in Philippines and Russia.
The main USP of the smartphone is the 5.7-inch HD+ FullView display with an aspect ratio rated at 18:9, featuring thin bezels.
Another attraction is the Face Unlock feature for the users to unlock the smartphone using his or her face. However, the Huawei Y6 (2018) lacks a fingerprint sensor.
In the camera department, there is a 13-megapixel primary camera with the front-facing snapper rated at 5-megapixel for selfies and video calling. The cameras support the AR Lens for the users to apply various AR-based filters to further enhance the pictures.
Under the hood, the Huawei Y6 (2018) is powered by octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 processor with Adreno 506 GPU, ticking at 1.8GHz. The smartphone is equipped with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. The device gets its fuel from a 3,000mAh battery and runs the company’s EMUI 8.0 OS based on Android 8.0 Oreo.
The Huawei Y6 (2018) is topped with several connectivity options such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, A-GPS, GLONASS, and a micro-USB. Additionally, the Huawei Y6 (2018) comes in Gold, Blue and Black colour options.
However, the availability and pricing details still remain unknown.
