HTC might introduce budget ‘Breeze’ smartphone at the MWC 2018

Apart from launching the expected flagship HTC U12, the Taiwanese smartphone brand is now speculated to unleash a budget smartphone soon with an aspect ratio of 18:9.

Codenamed ‘Breeze’ the smartphone will be a budget one coupled with a 5.5-inch display, claims popular leakster Evan Blass. On his official Twitter account, Blass said, “HTC’s got an upcoming 5.5″ phone, Breeze (second time as HTC codename), that’s mostly notable for pushing full screen, 18:9 aspect ratio down to entry level. Therefore specs are nothing special (Mediatek SoC, 2/16GB, 13/5MP, 2730mAh, etc), and it should be priced to reflect that.”

The budget smartphone is expected to appear in the upcoming MWC 2018. Today, the company launched U11+ in India at a price of Rs 56,990, which will be available via Flipkart on February 7. The USP of the product is that it is furnished with BoomSound speakers among its USPs and also Edge sense technology. Meanwhile, the company has introduced only the 4GB RAM and 64GB ROM variant.

On the other hand, the HTC U12 is expected to feature dual primary camera and bezel-less display. It can also appear with a full 4K resolution screen.
