HP Chromebook x2 with Chrome OS, keyboard and stylus unveiled


After we saw the Chrome OS-run Acer Chromebook Tab 10 (the first tablet with Chrome OS), we now have the second one by HP, dubbed the HP Chromebook x2 at our disposal.

Touted to be the world’s first Chromebook detachable, the sleek and light tablet is coupled with a keyboard and stylus. With ceramic white anodized aluminum finish, the Chromebook x2 can be used in various modes with the help of a magnetic hinge.


In terms of the specifications, the HP Chromebook x2 features a 12.3-inch Quad HD display protected by a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass 4. The tablet is powered by 7th Gen Intel Core processor, along with 8GB of LPDDR3 RAM.

The device comes equipped with 32GB of internal storage which comes with option to expand up to 256GB with the use of a memory card. Additionally, the Chromebook x2 is accompanied by 100GB of free Google Cloud storage for up to two years.

On the camera front, there is a 13-megapixel rear snapper while the front-facing one stands at 8-megapixel. The tablet comes with dual speakers with audio system by B&O Play, and connectivity options such as USB Type-C port, microSD port, and 3.5mm audio ports.

The HP Chromebook x2 is priced at $599.99 (around Rs 38,960) and will up for grabs via Best Buy and HP’s website, starting June 10.
