Honor 9i (2018) with a notch and dual cameras now official


Huawei sub-brand Honor, along with the Honor Play, has unveiled the successor to the Honor 9i- the Honor 9i (2018) in China.

The Honor 9i (2018) comes with the notch and a 5.84-inch Full HD+ IPS display as its highlight, allowing for really thin bezels.

Another attraction is the camera department which consists of dual cameras at the back, rated at 13-megapixel and 2-megapixel with LED flash and PDAF. The one at the front stands at 16-megapixel.

In terms of the other specs, the Honor 9i Lite is powered by the company’s octa-core HiSilicon Kirin 659 processor with Mali T830-MP2 GPU. The smartphone comes in two RAM/ROM variants: 4GB RAM/64GB ROM and 4GB RAM/128GB ROM, both the options coming with the ability to get expanded up to 256GB with the use of a memory card.



The smartphone is backed by a 3,000mAh battery and runs Android 8.0 Oreo with EMUI 8.0 on top. The Honor 9i Lite is home to dual SIM cards slots and is topped with various connectivity options such as Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth v4.2, micro-USB 2.0, GPS, NFC, and OTG support.

Additionally, the Honor 9i (2018) features a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor, Face Unlock feature, and comes in Magic Night Black, Charm Sea Blue, Jade Green, Dream Purple colour options.

The Honor 9i Lite (2018) is priced at CNY 1,399 (4GB RAM/64GB ROM) and CNY 1,699 (4GB RAM/128GB ROM) and will be up for grabs in China, starting today.

However, there is no word on its availability in India yet.
