Google has introduced a new app, dubbed Neighbourly meant for the users to know his or her neighbourhood more by asking from the neighbours.

The new location-based Neighbourly app allows users to ask other people about stuff such as doctors, parlours, boutiques and much more in the vicinity on a chat. Once a query pops up, users will find it in his or her feed and the users can opt to reply to a particular question.

The app allows users to stay acquainted with the locality a user lives in and can further contribute the same for others. Additionally, the users can speak his or her query in the desired language if typing becomes too boring or difficult. The query will automatically be transcribed into a text and will be posted on the feed.

Furthermore, the Neighbourly app is a private one and ensures that the personal information shared on the app doesn’t get shared with anyone else, except for the profile picture and name. The users can not text someone personally and the query remains public.

The Neighbourly app is available to download via the Google Play Store. However, Neighbourly is currently in open beta and available exclusively in Mumbai.
