Making group chats more convenient and fun, Facebook’s Messenger app now has more abilities for the admin in a group.
Facebook, in a blog post said, “Bringing groups of people together is powerful, and at Messenger, we’re always thinking about how we can improve group chats – especially since 2.5 million new groups were created on Messenger every day last year. Today we’re excited to start rolling out new, widely-requested Messenger features that make your group chat experience more robust and seamless by giving you more control – whether you’re planning a weekend trip with friends, chatting about a new episode of your favorite show with like-minded fans, or catching up with your family.”
Admin of a particular group chat can now decide whether or not to add a particular user to the group and can choose whom to remove from the group chat. However, Facebook Messenger has the option for the users (in the settings) to select whether or not to give the new admin privileges to the admin.
Additionally, Messenger now has the joinable links which makes it easier for the new members to join a group by simply sending the custom invite link to the desired person. The desired person will either be automatically added to the group or will be approved first by the admin if the approval feature is on.
The new features are available to the Android and iOS users.
