Expanding the range of Chromebook series has suddenly turned to be a new trend for the global laptop manufacturers. Keeping this in mind, Dell has now announced the launch of its new Chromebook 5000 series laptop, known as Chromebook 5190.
The new Dell 5000 series Chromebook features an 11.6-inch HD IPS display coupled with a resolution of 1366×768 pixels. The product will run on the Google Chrome OS and is backed by the Intel Celeron Quad-core chipset.
The laptop carries a price tag of $289 (approximately 18,400) that will commence its shipping in February. Specially designed for the educational purpose, the laptop appears in 2-in-1 convertible options although, the ROM and RAM of the product are yet to be revealed by the company.
It is speculated that same as the Lenovo Chromebook 500e, the Dell 5190 would be powered by 4GB LPDDR4 RAM and 32GB eMMC. The connectivity features include WiFi, Bluetooth, USB-Type C and expected to feature, USB port, headphone jack and SD card reader. Moreover, this chromebook will offer 13 hours of constant battery backup and is also offering EMR (electro-magnetic resonance) Pen for doing doodle on the screen.
