State-run telecom operator Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has announced a new prepaid plan in India, intended to provide a long-term solution to the users.
The new Rs 1,999 prepaid plan offers users with 2GB data per day for 365 days totaling up to 730GB data for the entire validity period. Apart from this, users will get unlimited voice calls (not applicable in Delhi and Mumbai) and 100 SMS per day.
Furthermore, the Rs 1,999 plan does not provide users with additional services such as Personalised Ring Back Tone (PRBT).
However, the new prepaid pack is currently available in Chennai and Tamil Nadu circles and can be bought only between June 25, 2018 and September 22, 2018. Additionally, BSNL presently provides 4G services only in the Kerala circle in India.
For those who don’t know, the new plan by BSNL is in direct competition with Reliance Jio’s Rs 1,999 prepaid plan which provides users with unlimited voice calls, 100 SMS per day and a total data limit of 125GB, all with a validity of 180 days.
