Apple released iOS 11.4, brings updates to AirPlay 2 and more


Cupertino tech major Apple has released a new version of its operating system iOS 11, dubbed the iOS 11.4 which has brought in a couple of new features for the iOS users.

Firstly, iOS 11.4 has introduced new features such as stereo pairs and a new multi-room audio to AirPlay 2 for HomePods. With the new multi-room audio feature users will be able to play music in any room from any room, move music from one room to another or play the same song everywhere using an iOS device, HomePod, Apple TV or by asking Siri.

The stereo pairs feature allows users to combine the power of two HomePods for the deliverance of great audio output. The users can simply connect the two HomePods by clicking on the prompt message when the second HomePod is required to be set up.


HomePod will be available in the US, UK and Australia and arrives in Canada, France and Germany starting June 18.

Additionally, the new software update has introduced Messages in iCloud which will allow users access messages from any Apple device.

In order to get updated to iOS 11.4, users can simply head to the Settings, tap General, then Software Updates and get updated.
