The global e-commerce platform Amazon India has introduced a new subscription plan for its video streaming platform Amazon Prime. Users can now pay Rs 129 per month to enjoy the services, while earlier; a yearly subscription plan was only available at Rs 999.

In 2016, Amazon has launched Prime services, which was then available at Rs 499 per year. After couple of months, it has introduced music and video services on Prime as a value addition, but then users are not required to pay any subscription and additional fees above the basic prime subscription.

The Amazon Prime services offer benefits, which include free of cost fast shipping for eligible purchases, streaming of movies, TV shows and music, exclusive shopping deals and selection, unlimited reading, and more. Also, it provides unlimited, ad-free access to hundreds of Prime Playlists and more than a million songs. The monthly subscription will be useful for those who don’t want to the yearly amount together. But, it seems that if someone want to use this service permanently or even for a year, then annual subscription plan is more beneficial as it is available for only Rs 999, a discount of Rs 549.
