Amazon introduces Fire HD 10 Kids Edition tablet, also intros Show Mode

Amazon has added a new tablet to its Fire tablets range, dubbed the new Fire HD 10 Kids Edition.

The new tablet comes with Amazon FreeTime Unlimited for a year which offers more than 15,000 books, videos, educational apps, games, and access to selected websites and YouTube videos. Additionally, it comes with a kid-proof case in blue, pink, or yellow, and 2-year worry-free guarantee.

In terms of the specs, the Fire HD 10 Kids Edition tablet sports a 10.1-inch full HD display and is powered by ultra-fast quad-core processor. The Android-powered tablet comes equipped with 32GB of internal storage which is expandable up to 256GB, and supports a battery life of up to 10 hours.


Additionally, parents can control their kids’ activities by settings time limits for weekdays and weekends, with age filters, can restrict various categories, set an amount of total screen time, can add or remove content, can control when FreeTime shutdowns, and much more.

The Amazon Fire D 10 Kids Edition comes with a price tag of $199.99, and is up for pre-orders. It will be available to buy, starting July 11, 2018.


Furthermore, Amazon has introduced a new Show Mode feature for its Fire tablets which will allow for full-screen visuals that complement voice responses from Alexa. In addition to this, Amazon has introduced the Show Mode Charging Dock (for $34.99) to automatically convert the tablet into Show Mode.
