Rival Reliance Jio’s Rs 198 plan offers a total cap of high-speed 56GB 4G data with a validity of 2GB data per day and a download speed of 25.6 mbps
To counter Reliance Jio’s new Rs 198 tariff, India’s largest subscriber-based operator Airtel has now revised its Rs 199 plan that will provide 1.4GB of 3G/4G daily data for a validity of 28 days. But, Jio’s Rs 198 scheme offers a daily 2GB 4G/3G data for same duration.
Also, the revised 199 plan of Airtel offers unlimited free SMS and seamless calling. Prior to this, the tariff offered 1GB of 3G/4G per day data for a period of 28 days. Now, users will get 100 free SMSes coupled with a total cap of 39.2GB data.
Whereas, rival Reliance Jio’s Rs 198 plan offers a total cap of high-speed 56GB 4G data with a validity of 2GB data per day. Apart from this, the tariff also includes unlimited roaming voice calls, STD, and local calls. Jio also offers traditional subscription to Jio special apps to users coupled with additional 100 additional SMSes for 28 days.
In the meantime, Reliance Jio ranked high again in the 4G broadband service providers for the consecutive 11 months recording a highest ever download speed of 25.6 mbps in November 2017, according to TRAI’s newly released data.
