Will this new data plan of Airtel pose a tough competition to Jio’s Rs 499 plan and Vodafone’s Rs 549 scheme?
India’s largest telecom operator Bharti Airtel has now introduced its new data tariff scheme for its prepaid users, which appears at a price of Rs 588. According to some experts, the new scheme would pose a tough competition to its rivals like Reliance Jio’s Rs 499 plan and Vodafone’s Rs 549 scheme.
The Rs 588 plan will offer 3GB 4G data of 4G/3G data each day, a total of 246GB data for a total period of 82 days. The additional offers of this plan include unlimited voice calls (local+STD), unlimited incoming roaming calls and 100 SMS per day, spotted by TelecomTalk.
The other USP of this plan is that it comes without any FUP limit on the daily and weekly basis by which Airtel is said to have lowered the price of per GB data to Rs 2.26. Rival, Reliance Jio provides 2GB 4G data each day, a total of 128GB data coupled with added voice calling advantages with validity of 91 days and with a validity of 84 days, Vodafone’s Rs 549 plan offers 3GB 3G/4G data per day, unlimited voice calls of 250 minutes per day and 100 SMS each day.
