Xiaomi has been long-rumoured the Redmi Note 5 and the Redmi Note 5 Pro, which is expected to arrive in India at an event scheduled for February 14. Prior to the official unveiling we have leaked specs of the smartphones as spoilers.
According to a new report, the Redmi Note 5 and the Redmi Note 5 Pro are expected to be the rebranded versions of the recently unveiled Redmi 5 and the Redmi 5 Plus.
In terms of the design, while the Redmi Note 5 is expected to sport a single primary shooter, the Redmi Note 5 Pro is likely to feature a dual-camera setup aligned vertically at the back, much like the iPhone X. Both the smartphones are expected to feature rear-mounted fingerprint scanners.
Starting with the Redmi Note 5, the smartphone is expected to come with a 5.99-inch full HD+ display with an aspect ratio rated at 18:9. The smartphone is likely to be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor, and could come in two RAM/ROM configurations: 3GB RAM/32GB ROM and 4GB RAM/64GB ROM. On the camera front, the Redmi Note 5 is expected to house a 12-megapixel primary shooter and a 5-megapixel front snapper.
Additionally, the smartphone could be backed by a 4,000mAh battery and run Android 7.0 Nougat with MIUI 9.5 on top.
The Redmi Note 5 Pro, on the other hand, is expected to be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 processor and come in three RAM/ROM options- 3GB RAM/32GB ROM, 4GB RAM/64GB ROM and 6GB RAM/64GB ROM. Coming with the same display as the Redmi Note 5, the smartphone is likely to come with a dual-camera setup at the back, rated at 12-megapixel and 5-megapixel, while the one at the front could stand at 20-megapixel.
