Here’s how to check if your phone is eligible

If your phone is running on an old operating system and present in the list, upgrade the software to the latest version. Follow the steps to check for any pending software update:

Step 1: Go to Settings on your phone

Step 2: Now, go to About Phone option

Step 3: Here you will be able to see which software is running on your phone. If your phone is running on Android 4.1 or later, WhatsApp will continue its support otherwise not

If there are no pending update and WhatsApp is not working for your device anymore, it is time to get a new smartphone with the latest OS support. However, before that you need to back up your chats if you don’t want to lose it.
