OnePlus getting back in the mid-segment?
OnePlus, at the start of its journey, unveiled the OnePlus X in the mid-range which wasn’t enough to impress the tech world, leading to the discontinuation of the X series. However, a recent rumour has it that the Chinese company could soon unveil a new smartphone, allegedly called the OnePlus X2, reviving the X series.
According to a new report, the purported OnePlus X2 is likely to come with a 5.5-inch screen size and could be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 mobile platform. The successor to the OnePlus X is expected to be equipped with 4GB of RAM and might come in two internal storage options- 32GB and 64GB.
On the camera front, the smartphone is speculated to be a selfie-focused one, with the front-facing snapper rate at 16-megapixel. The rear camera might stand at 8-megapixel. The alleged OnePlus X2 is rumoured to come with a battery capacity rated at 3,000mAh and preferably support the company’s Dash Charge fast charging technology.
Additionally, the OnePlus X2 is expected to be accompanied by Face Unlock feature, found in the OnePlus 5 and the OnePlus 5T.
