Chinese smartphone tycoon OnePlus has finally released its official its Android-based OxygenOS 5.0.5 that has added the most secured feature Face Unlock on its previous OnePlus 5 smartphone. Now, the users can secure their OnePlus 5 device through this enhanced feature.
The release of the feature was announced via the official OnePlus platform. Along with this new feature, some important bugs issues are also fixed and it also updated some imperative apps such as Launcher, Gallery, Weather, and File Manager. For top-notch video recording the optical department has also received electronic image stabilization (EIS).
It is quite easier for user to add this feature. They just require to visit Settings menu > Security & lock screen option > Select Face unlock. Enter your password or PIN or pattern (as this works as a backup for authentication if the facial unlocking fails).
Just like the fingerprint sensor, once the user’s face has been mapped from various angles they will have the option of setting Face Unlock as the most favoured security. The feature can be removed following the same path to settings.
Users must note that OxygenOS 5.0.5 is an OTA update and will reach all OnePlus 5 users gradually, claims BGR.in. OnePlus has also released the stable Android Oreo-based OxygenOS 5.0.2 for the OnePlus 5T.
