Nokia now a part of Airtel ‘Mera Pehla Smartphone’ initiative

HMD Global-owned Nokia has joined hands with telecom operator Airtel, joining the ‘Mera Pehla Smartphone’ intiative by the latter.

The Nokia 2 and the Nokia 3 smartphones are now a part of the Airtel initiative providing users a cashback of Rs 2,000 on purchase of any of the two. All the users need to do is make a down payment of Rs 9,499 and Rs 6,999 for the Nokia 3 and the Nokia 2, respectively, make recharges worth Rs 3,500 for 18 months for a cashback of Rs 500 and another set of recharge of the same Rs 3,500 for another 18 months to get the remaining cashback of Rs 1,500.

Additionally, the smartphones come bundled up with Airtel’s Rs 169 plan 1GB of internet data per day and unlimited local and STD voice calling.

To recall, the Nokia 3 comes with a 5-inch display and is powered by a quad-core MediaTek MTK6737 processor clocked at 1.3GHz. The smartphone comes with a 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage expandable up to 128GB via a memory card. On the camera front, there is an 8-megapixel rear as well front snappers. The smartphone is backed by a 2,630mAh battery.

The Nokia 2, on the other hand, is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 212 processor, coupled with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of inbuilt storage which can be expanded up to 128GB using a memory card. The smartphone comes with a 5-inch display and is powered by a huge 4,100mAh battery. Additionally, there is an 8-megapixel rear snapper and a 5-megapixel front camera.
