Google hints at what it has in store for MWC 2018

Among various tech companies all geared up for Mobile World Congress 2018, Google also has a fully loaded bag to present at the Barcelona tradeshow which has been hinted in a recently out blog post.

Google, in its blog post said, “Monday kicks off Mobile World Congress in Barcelona—the mobile industry’s largest tradeshow. Our partners will be announcing amazing new Android devices, you’ll be able to see the growing industry momentum around RCS, and we’ll be showcasing the latest from Google including Google Assistant and Lens.

Google is expected to further Rich Communication Services (RCS) and present something around it. Additionally, the company will be presenting various product focusing on Google’s in-house virtual assistant- Google Assistant and Google Lens. However, there is still no word as to what Google plans to showcase at the tradeshow.

Google’ recently announced Android Oreo Go edition will get into some new smartphones, to be announced at MWC. To recall, Android Oreo Go edition is a new version of the operating system, specified at smartphones with low-end RAM and processor. The Android Go Edition consists of various Go editions of the Google Apps such as Assistant, YouTube, Maps, Gmail, Chrome, etc.

Furthermore, Google’s Android One initiative to provide pure Android, quick software updates and regular security updates, will make its way to more smartphones.
