Since the launch of the arguably revolutionary iPhone X, the Cupertino tech major Apple has been rumoured to make its 2018 iteration much like the smartphone, comprising three iPhone models. Now, furthering the rumour is the new report which suggests more about this year’s offerings by Apple.
According to a report by Bloomberg, Apple is expected to launch three smartphones following the lines of the recent iPhone X. The base model is likely to measure the same as the iPhone X, the second model could come with a 6.1-inch display and will slightly more on the affordable end. The first two iPhone models could come with LCD display panels, much like the iPhone 8, however, with the same edge-to-edge screen.
The third, high-end model is expected to span 6.5-inch, becoming the biggest iPhone till date (even the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 has a screen size of 6.3-inch).
The 6.5-inch iPhone could come with OLED display panel with a screen resolution rated at 1,242 x 2,688 pixels. The smartphone is expected to be powered by the upcoming A12 chipset, iOS 12 and support Apple’s Face ID, much like the iPhone X.
Additionally, Apple could unveil the gold colour variant for the 2018 iPhone models, which was dropped for the iPhone X.
