Here’s a guide on how you can upgrade your Aadhar’s photo online

Your Identity, Your Aadhar! This one line is enough to tell you the importance of this single document in your life. Since we have had these cards for quite a long time, don’t you think it’s time to upgrade that old photo of yours? Or you’re happy with showing those close-up shots everywhere? Since we already know how Aadhar’s photograph shows the most realistic pictures of you and you anyways are looking ways on how to change it, here listed are some steps on how you can easily upgrade the photo on your Aadhar Card.

Here’s a step by step guide on how you can change your Aadhar’s photo online, Check it out!

Step 1: Download the Aadhaar Enrolment Form from the UIDAI website and download the form.

Step 2: Fill all the required details and submit it to your nearest Aadhar Enrollment Center.

Step 3: The UIDAI Executive will authenticate the information given by you and will capture a new photo.

Step 4: The service charge will cost you Rs 100 Plus GST.

Step 5: After paying the charge, you can collect the acknowledgement slip with the number of the update request (URN).

Furthermore, you can also track the progress of your service through UIDAI’s website. You only have to put the URN number in the tracking details and you will get all the required information about your update.

Some points to remember while booking an appointment-

  • – No documents required for the change of the photograph.
  • – No photo submission required as the Executive will take a fresh photo at the spot.
  • – The information upgradation will take up to 90 days.
  • – Use the URN number to get the updates on Aadhar update online.
