Google Pixel 11 Pro XL Geekbench Listing Reveals Tensor G6 Performance and Key Specifications

Google is only a few days away from launching its Pixel 11 series and early benchmark results have now provided a glimpse at the performance of the company’s next-generation flagship chipset. The Google Pixel 11 Pro XL has appeared on Geekbench, giving us an early look at the Tensor G6 chip and its performance figures. Here’s more on what we know.

According to the Geekbench listing, the Pixel 11 Pro XL managed to score 2,112 points in the single-core test and 5,196 points in the multi-core test. When compared with the Tensor G5, these numbers do not indicate a significant performance improvement. However, it is worth noting that the final retail version of the smartphone could deliver better benchmark results.

The Geekbench entry also provides details about the Tensor G6‘s CPU configuration. The chipset is listed as a 7-core processor featuring two cores clocked at 2.65GHz, four cores running at 3.38GHz, and one core reaching a maximum clock speed of 4.11GHz. This configuration is consistent with earlier reports about Google’s upcoming chipset, so the core arrangement itself is not unexpected.

Interestingly, this is not the first time a 7-core Tensor processor has appeared on Geekbench. An earlier listing from February showed considerably lower performance with the chip recording 845 points in the single-core test and 2,657 points in the multi-core test. Since those results came from very early hardware, the low scores were not entirely surprising and were significantly below the performance expected from a current flagship chipset.

The latest Geekbench results represent a substantial improvement over that earlier listing. However, the new figures still do not point to any major performance gains when compared with the Tensor G5.

Meanwhile, the PowerVR CXTP-48-1536 GPU powering the Pixel 11 Pro XL has also appeared on Geekbench Compute. The latest listing offers the first real indication of how Google’s new GPU hardware performs.

The Pixel 11 Pro XL was tested with 16GB of RAM and recorded a score of 7,757 points in the Geekbench Compute OpenGL test. The GPU was running at a clock speed of 1,286MHz during the benchmark.

The result represents a significant improvement over the GPU used in the previous-generation Tensor G5. The PowerVR DXT-48-1536 GPU inside the Pixel 10 scored 4,315 points in testing, meaning the new Tensor G6 GPU delivers nearly 80 percent higher performance in this particular Geekbench Compute test.

Google Pixel 11 Pro XL – What to Expect?

The Pixel 11 series is expected to launch in the coming days with the Pixel 11 Pro XL positioned as one of the top-end models in Google’s upcoming flagship lineup.

The Pixel 11 Pro XL is expected to be the larger version of the Pro model. It is tipped to feature a 6.8-inch OLED display with a 2992 x 1344 pixels resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The smartphone could be offered with 12GB or 16GB RAM. It is also expected to pack a 5,115mAh battery and a 13-megapixel front camera.
