Nokia has recently showcased its brand new smartphone called the Nokia C20 Plus. It is the company’s new entry-level champion and it brings what HMD does the best: clean Android software with regular updates. On the other hand, we have none other than Realme C21Y. It is a budget smartphone with outstanding specifications, which stands against the Nokia C20 Plus. Design

The Nokia C20 Plus features a simple design. Its build quality is solid with a plastic unibody chassis and a heavy in-hand feel. The textured back has fine ridges, which make for a decent grip. It is also quite thick at 9.35mm and heavy at 204 grams. On the other hand, Realme C21Y is unquestionably among the better-looking budget smartphones. This smartphone has up to 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage, which is less than you’d get with many other smartphones available at this segment. While the Realme C21Y is powered by an 8-core Unisoc T610 processor, paired with 4GB of RAM (LPDDR4X) and 64 GB of storage, as well as expandable microSD up to 256 GB. Besides, Nokia C20 Plus runs the Android 11 Go edition while Realme C21Y uses Realme UI R Edition based on Android 11 OS. It is supported by a tame 10W charger taking approx. 150 minutes to completely juice up the device. On the other hand, the Realme C21Y sports a 5,000mAh battery that can power the phone for a day. Realme’s Super Power Saving mode also helps significantly improve the device’s battery performance.

Price

Nokia C20 Plus price in India starts from Rs 8,499. The smartphone come in 2GB RAM and 32GB storage model and 3GB RAM and 32GB storage configurations at Rs 8,999 and Rs 9,999 respectively. It is available in Ocean Blue, Graphite Black colour options. On the contrary, the Realme C21Y costs Rs 8,999 for the 3GB RAM and 32GB storage version, and Rs 9,999 for the 4GB RAM and 64GB storage version. The phone comes in Cross Blue and Cross Black colours.

Conclusion

It would be challenging to find the best one among these two smartphones because both have their advantages and disadvantages. However, our ideal deal would be the Realme C21Y. The Nokia C20 Plus has the familiar Nokia aesthetic of rigid and sturdy build quality. Beyond that, it is a standard phone with slightly underpowered specifications. When you consider its price tag, Nokia C20 Plus does not offer anything special while Realme C21Y offers a vastly superior software experience. The C21Y is a solid everyday use phone, which is designed beautifully, feature good cameras and has enough processing power to run apps and games.
