The Swachh Map will help urban residents of the state to complain the authority about dirty and unclean surroundings, after which the local authorities will take required action to meet the same

With a vision of implementing the government’s new “Swachh Bharat” scheme, the Haryana government has now unleashed a brand new mobile application in the urban areas, known as Swachh Map.

The Swachh Map will help urban residents of the state to complain the authority about dirty and unclean surroundings, after which the local authorities will take required action to meet the same. The app has been launched to address cleanliness issues in areas falling under all Municipal Corporations, Municipalities and Municipal Committees in Haryana.

It is expected that every state government will launch this app to implement “Swachh Bharat” scheme on a higher level. In Gurgaon and its neighboring regions, people can call on this number 1800025952 (toll free) about the escalating garbage in their areas and then the issues will be taken care of within 24 hours.

An anonymous state government spokesman said, “If you are residing in any urban area of Haryana and find your surroundings unclean or littered with garbage, click a picture and post it directly on the Swachh Map mobile application, and you will get your complaint redressed in a fixed time period.”

He added, “Apart from the state government, details of state-level complaints will be sent to the central government’s Swachh Bharat Mission office, through this app. It will increase the accountability of officials and officers concerned. The residents will have a great role to play in Swachh Map app.”
