Intex Technologies is going to roll out a new series of polymer based powerbanks ranging between 6,000 mAh to 20,000 mAh starting first week of December 2017. The sleek designed portable powerbanks will be available at all leading retail outlets. The company will also add headsets and car inverter charger to its name.
Manish Gupta, Business Head – Mobile Accessories, Intex Technologies showcased the new product portfolio of the home grown brand and assured that the brand will also provide service assistance to almost 1,500 locations across India. “We will be targeting the rural and semi-urban areas because that’s where the potential lies,” he said.
“Accessories play an important part in the mobile ecosystem and we’ve already tried and experienced the response of people at Bengaluru few months ago,” said Manish.
The company wants to focus purely on offline model to boost its presence and sales across the country. Intex is also mulling to start working on Bluetooth, headsets across various price categories.
The mobile accessories business of Intex is Rs 100 crore entity in 2016-17, which was started with just seven crores in 2011. The vertical saw an upsurge of 49%.
