The OPPO Reno 17 5G has received certification from the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) indicating that the smartphone is headed to the Indian market. According to reports, the Reno 17 series is expected to include two models, the OPPO Reno 17 5G and OPPO Reno 17 Pro 5G. The latest listing comes after the phone was spotted on Thailand’s NBTC certification platform.

The OPPO Reno 17 5G has been listed on the BIS website under model number CPH2975, with registration number R-93005800. The Bureau of Indian Standards oversees product certification and quality standards for various products sold in India, including smartphones.
Although the certification listing does not reveal any hardware specifications, it indicates that the device is being prepared for the Indian market.
Notably, OPPO has not yet announced the official India launch date, pricing or availability details for the Reno 17 5G.

OPPO Reno 17 Series Specifications
According to current leaks, the OPPO Reno 17 series will include the standard Reno 17 5G and the Reno 17 Pro 5G. Both smartphones are expected to run Android 17 with OPPO’s ColorOS 17 interface.
The standard Reno 17 5G is tipped to feature Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset built using a 4nm process, with clock speeds of up to 2.8GHz. Meanwhile, the Reno 17 Pro 5G is expected to use the MediaTek Dimensity 8550 Super processor, which is also reportedly based on a 4nm process and offers clock speeds ranging from 2.2GHz to 3.4GHz.
Both phones are expected to offer 12GB of RAM with 128GB, 256GB and 512GB storage options.
They are also tipped to pack 7,000mAh batteries with standard Reno 17 supporting 80W fast charging. However, charging details for the Pro model remain unconfirmed.

OPPO Reno 17 Series Launch Timeline
The OPPO Reno 17 series is expected to launch in China in November 2026, according to current reports. The smartphones could subsequently arrive in India by January 2027.
OPPO has not officially confirmed the launch schedule for either model.
