Xiaomi has now confirmed that the Xiaomi 18 Pro will launch in India, bringing its next-generation flagship hardware to the Indian market. The smartphone was announced for India at Snapdragon Day during India Mobile Congress (IMC) 2026. It will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 processor and here is what to expect from the Xiaomi 18 Pro ahead of its India launch.

Xiaomi 18 Pro India Launch: What We Know
Xiaomi confirmed the Indian launch of the Xiaomi 18 Pro during Snapdragon Day at IMC 2026. Gautam Batra, Associate Director of Product Marketing at Xiaomi India, announced the development at the event.
The company has yet to reveal the exact India launch date. However, the smartphone is expected to arrive in the country over the next few months.
The flagship model stands out among the other upcoming Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6-powered smartphones in the country for its relatively compact display and high-end camera hardware. Among the other phones debuting the chipset in India will be iQOO 16 and Motorola Signature 27.
While the China model provides an idea of what to expect, Xiaomi has not confirmed whether the Indian variant will retain all its specifications.
Xiaomi 18 Pro Specifications Based On China Variant
The Xiaomi 18 Pro launched in China features a 6.4-inch flat LTPO AMOLED display with a 1.5K resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate and up to 4,000 nits of peak brightness. It also includes a 2.7-inch LTPO AMOLED display on the rear, with the same refresh rate and peak brightness.
The phone is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 processor and is available with up to 16GB of RAM and 1TB of storage in China. Other key specifications include a triple rear camera setup, a 50MP front camera and Android 17-based HyperOS 4.

Dual 200MP Cameras and Rear Display
One of the biggest highlights of the Xiaomi 18 Pro is its dual 200MP rear camera system. The primary camera uses a 200MP Light Fusion 960 sensor with a 1/1.28-inch sensor size and optical image stabilisation (OIS). The second 200MP camera is a periscope telephoto lens that supports OIS and 3.2x optical zoom.
The camera setup also includes a 50MP ultrawide camera, while a 50MP sensor on the front handles selfies and video calls. Xiaomi’s partnership with Leica brings additional camera features including film simulations.

The Xiaomi 18 Pro packs a 7,000mAh battery in China, which is paired with 100W wired charging and 50W wireless charging. The large battery capacity is combined with fast charging support.
It remains to be seen whether the Indian version will offer the same battery capacity, charging speeds and software features.
Xiaomi 18 Pro India Launch Timeline and Expected Price
Xiaomi has confirmed the Xiaomi 18 Pro’s India launch but has not announced a specific release date. The smartphone is expected to arrive in the country in the coming months.
The price is also yet to be revealed. For context, the Xiaomi 17 starts at Rs 89,999 in India. Considering the Xiaomi 18 Pro’s flagship processor and camera hardware, its Indian price could cross Rs 1 lakh.
