Samsung has revised the prices of two of its mid-range smartphones in India. The Galaxy A36 and Galaxy A56 are now available at higher prices with the maximum increase reaching Rs 3,000 on the Galaxy A36. Interestingly, this price revision comes just ahead of the festive shopping season. It is the time when most buyers typically look for discounts on smartphones. Galaxy A36, Galaxy A56 New Prices in India
The Galaxy A36 8GB+128GB variant now costs ₹36,999, compared with ₹33,999 previously. This makes it ₹3,000 more expensive. Meanwhile, the 8GB+256GB version is now priced at ₹40,999, while the 12GB+256GB variant costs ₹46,499.
Samsung has also increased the prices of the Galaxy A56. The phone’s 8GB+128GB variant has moved from ₹42,999 to ₹44,999. The 8GB+256GB model now costs ₹48,999, while the top-end 12GB+256GB variant is priced at ₹54,499.

Despite the official price revision, buyers may still be able to get the Galaxy A36 and Galaxy A56 at their earlier prices. Some variants are currently listed at the old prices on Amazon and Flipkart.
However, this could be a limited opportunity as the availability of older-priced stock depends on existing inventory.

Both phones belong to Samsung’s older flagship and Fan Edition lineups and offer premium features. As of now, the two phones remain competitive in Samsung’s mid-range portfolio. However, the revised prices could make alternative models such as the OnePlus Nord 5, Vivo V50 or even Nothing Phone 3a appear more attractive for buyers this season.
