The upcoming Vivo X500 Pro Max has appeared on Geekbench and it offers an early look at an upcoming MediaTek chipset. The listing provides details about the processor’s core configuration and clock speeds ahead of MediaTek’s expected launch.
The Vivo X500 Pro Max is expected to be among the first smartphones to use the new chipset. The Vivo X500 series is currently tipped to launch in September and here’s everything we know about the processor based on its recent Geekbench appearance.
Vivo X500 Pro Max on Geekbench
A Vivo smartphone carrying the V2610 model number has been spotted on Geekbench Browser.
The test device is listed with an unreleased MediaTek processor identified as “MT6995(ENG)”. The chipset is widely believed to be the upcoming Dimensity 9600 Pro, although MediaTek has not officially confirmed the processor yet.
According to the Geekbench listing, the processor uses an eight-core CPU with a 2+3+3 configuration. It includes two prime cores capable of reaching up to 4.55GHz, three cores with a maximum clock speed of 4.35GHz and three additional cores running at a base frequency of 3.10GHz.
However, the particular engineering sample tested on Geekbench had its two prime cores limited to just 2.8GHz. This means the benchmark scores from the listing do not represent the full performance potential of the upcoming chipset.
The 2+3+3 CPU layout also matches information previously shared by tipster Digital Chat Station. The tipster had claimed that the processor would feature two “Canyon” cores, believed to be Arm’s yet-to-be-announced C2-Ultra cores along with three “Gelas-B” cores and three “Gelas” cores. The latter name is also associated with the C1-Pro cores used in the Dimensity 9500.
The Geekbench listing also identifies the GPU as “Mali-G2-Ultra-NX MC12.” This is in line with earlier reports about the graphics unit expected to be used in MediaTek’s upcoming flagship chipset.
It also shows 11.05GB of usable RAM, which suggests that the Vivo test unit has 12GB of installed RAM. It carries a “release-keys” signing status, which is commonly seen on pre-production devices.
Engineering samples are reportedly estimated to achieve Geekbench 6 scores of around 4,200–4,300 points in single-core testing and 12,000–12,500 points in multi-core testing.
However, these figures should be treated as early estimates since MediaTek’s pre-launch performance have often been higher than the scores achieved by final retail versions.
Vivo X500 Pro Max – Camera and Video Features
Meanwhile, it has now been revealed that Vivo X500 Pro Max is expected to put a strong focus on photography and video. Vivo says the phone is being built to be the first choice for photography and the only choice for video.
The flagship is tipped to feature a ZEISS Super Dynamic Main Camera with a custom Sony sensor and BluePrint Optics 900. The camera system is expected to offer a dynamic range of up to 17EV with Vivo targeting cinema-grade video recording.
Stabilisation is another major focus. The Vivo X500 Pro Max is said to feature 3° gimbal-level OIS along with CIPA 7.0 professional-grade stabilisation. These technologies are designed to deliver more stable footage, particularly while recording videos on the move.

Vivo is also describing the video upgrade as a major, “epic-level” improvement. The focus is reportedly on improving both dynamic range and stability, suggesting that video recording could be one of the biggest upgrades on the upcoming flagship.
