Poco is preparing to expand its M-series smartphone lineup in India with the upcoming Poco M8x 5G. The brand started teasing the upcoming smartphone officially via a dedicated microsite on Flipkart and social media posts. Official teasers are giving buyers an early look at its design and confirming where it will be sold.

The microsite confirms that the Poco M8x 5G will be sold in India through Flipkart. The first official teaser has also revealed the rear design of the smartphone.

The phone features a textured, flat rear panel and a square camera module positioned in the top-left corner. The camera island has a golden finish and appears to house a dual-camera setup along with an LED flash. The teased device is shown in a green colour, while the frame also gets a matching gold finish.

Poco branding is placed horizontally towards the lower section of the rear panel. The power button and volume rocker are located on the right side of the handset.

Poco M8x 5G Expected Specifications

While Poco has confirmed the 5G connectivity and teased the design, it has not yet revealed the complete specifications, price or exact launch date. However, tipster Yogesh Brar @heyitsyogesh on X has shared details about what buyers can expect from the upcoming phone.

According to the tipster, the Poco M8x 5G could feature a 6.9-inch IPS LCD display with HD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The smartphone is expected to be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset and could come with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. The storage is also expected to support expansion.

The handset is tipped to pack a 6,000mAh battery with support for 33W fast charging. On the software front, the Poco M8x 5G is expected to run HyperOS 3.

Poco M8x 5G Expected Price and Launch Date

The tipster claims that the Poco M8x 5G could be priced below Rs 20,000 in India. If this turns out to be accurate, the phone would target the budget and lower mid-range 5G segment.

The Poco M8 Power was introduced in India earlier this month as the latest M-series model. The upcoming Poco M8x 5G will now join the lineup, although the company has not yet announced a specific launch date.

More information is likely to be revealed as the company gets closer to the official India launch.
