Two upcoming smartphones from Xiaomi’s sub-brands have moved a step closer to their official debut. The Poco C95 Pro (4G) and the Redmi Note 17 Pro 5G have now received certification from Thailand’s NBTC authority, hinting that their launch could take place in the near future.
The certification listings do not reveal detailed specifications but previous reports have already shed light on what these smartphones are expected to offer.
Poco C95 Pro (4G) Spotted on NBTC

The Poco C95 Pro (4G) has appeared in the NBTC database with the model number 2606FPC72Y. According to earlier reports, the smartphone is expected to be a rebranded version of the Redmi 17 (4G), which carries the model numbers 2606FRN72Y and 2606FRN72L.
Based on previous leaks, the Redmi 17 (4G) is expected to feature a 6.9-inch IPS LCD display with HD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The handset is tipped to be powered by the MediaTek Helio G91 Ultra chipset and could be paired with up to 6GB of RAM and up to 256GB of internal storage.
The phone is also expected to pack a 7,500mAh battery with 45W fast charging support. For photography, it is said to feature an 8-megapixel front camera and a 50-megapixel rear camera. Other expected features include a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and NFC connectivity.
Redmi Note 17 Pro 5G Receives NBTC Certification
The global version of the Redmi Note 17 Pro 5G has also received NBTC certification with the model number 2607DRA18G.

According to tipster Kacper Skrzypek, the global model is expected to retain most of the specifications of its Chinese counterpart. However, unlike the Chinese version, which reportedly packs a 9,000mAh battery, the global variant is said to feature a slightly smaller 8,340mAh battery. The tipster also claims that the global model will include an additional 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera.
The Chinese Redmi Note 17 Pro is expected to sport a 6.83-inch AMOLED display with 1.5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. It is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 processor and supports 67W fast charging.
For cameras, the Chinese variant is equipped with a 50-megapixel rear camera and an 8-megapixel front-facing camera.
Redmi Note 17 Series Launch Timeline
The Redmi Note 17 series including the Redmi Note 17 and the Redmi Note 17 Pro Max has now been certified by Thailand’s NBTC authority.
The standard Redmi Note 17 is already confirmed to launch in India on August 6 and the latest certification suggests that the Redmi Note 17 Pro and Redmi Note 17 Pro Max could also arrive in the Indian market soon after.
Meanwhile, the Redmi 17 (4G) and its rebranded counterpart the Poco C95 Pro (4G) currently do not appear to have Indian variants. As a result, it remains unclear whether either smartphone will be launched in India.
