Motorola has officially confirmed the India launch date of the Motorola Edge 70 Max. The upcoming smartphone will expand Motorola’s Edge 70 series lineup in India. The Motorola Edge 70 Max will launch in India on July 15 at 12 PM IST. Following its unveiling, the smartphone will be available for purchase via Flipkart.

Official teaser images show the handset with a flat display, slim bezels, and a square-shaped rear camera module. Motorola has also showcased the phone in Light Blue and Green colour options.
Motorola Edge 70 Max – Key Specification (Confirmed)
Motorola has confirmed that the Edge 70 Max will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 processor. According to the company, the chipset delivers a 46 percent improvement in AI-related NPU performance compared to the previous generation.
The smartphone is also claimed to achieve an AnTuTu benchmark score of over 3 million, support up to 12GB LPDDR5X RAM, and offer on-device AI processing for various AI-powered tasks.
To keep temperatures under control during demanding workloads, the device will feature Motorola’s ArcticMesh cooling system. The setup includes a 5,500 sq mm vapour cooling chamber, which is designed to improve heat dissipation and maintain stable performance during gaming and intensive usage.
On the display front, the Motorola Edge 70 Max is confirmed to feature a Quad-HD+ LTPO display with a 144Hz refresh rate and up to 7,000 nits of peak brightness. The panel is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 7i and offers a 95.12 percent screen-to-body ratio, DCI-P3 colour gamut support, and 10-bit colour output. Motorola has also confirmed support for 120fps gameplay in BGMI, making the device suitable for high-frame-rate mobile gaming.
Separately, WinFuture’s Roland Quandt has claimed in a post on Bluesky that the Motorola Edge 70 Max could feature a 6.82-inch display. However, Motorola has not officially confirmed the screen size.
The Motorola Edge 70 Max will be backed by a 7,100mAh battery, which the company claims can deliver up to 58 hours of battery life on a single charge. The smartphone will support 90W TurboPower wired fast charging. Motorola has also confirmed magnetic wireless charging, which it claims is a first-in-segment feature.
With the launch now just days away, Motorola is expected to reveal the remaining details including the camera specifications, pricing, and availability on July 15.
