It appears Vivo is trusting last year’s processor for its upcoming smartphone and we shouldn’t expect any upgrade in this department. Vivo S60 has surfaced on Geekbench and the listing suggests that the company will continue using the same processor seen on predecessor model. The latest benchmark details have appeared just ahead of Vivo’s launch event scheduled for May 29 in China. During the event, the company is expected to introduce both the Vivo S60 and the Vivo S60 Vitality Edition.

Vivo S60 Geekbench Shows 8s Gen 3

The details of the Geekbench benchmark database, as spotted by tipster Abhishek Yadav on X, reveal that the upcoming device carrying the model number V2571A will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset. Just to note, this is the same processor that was used in the previous-generation Vivo S50 as well.
This year, the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 SoC comes with a prime core clocked at 3.01GHz along with four performance cores running at 2.80GHz and three efficiency cores operating at 2.02GHz. Graphics duties are handled by the Adreno 735 GPU.
The Geekbench entry further confirms that the smartphone will run Android 16 and could pack up to 16GB RAM.
In terms of benchmark performance, the Vivo S60 achieved 1,960 points in the single-core test and 5,194 points in the multi-core test on Geekbench.

Vivo V60 – Expected Specs

Leaks indicate that the Vivo S60 may feature a 6.59-inch OLED display offering 1.5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The smartphone is also tipped to house a massive 7,200mAh battery with support for 90W fast charging.
Camera-wise, the device is rumoured to include a triple rear camera setup led by a 50-megapixel sensor, along with a Sony IMX-series periscope telephoto camera. Other expected features include an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint scanner, stereo speakers, an X-axis linear motor, and an IR blaster.
The upcoming Vivo phone is also expected to offer IP68 and IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance.
Reports suggest that the two smartphones in Vivo S60 Series will feature a similar overall design and launch in Starry Sea, Early Summer Green and Midsummer Night colour options.
The regular Vivo S60 is expected to be available with configurations going up to 16GB RAM and 512GB internal storage. Meanwhile, the Vivo S60 Vitality Edition could arrive with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage as its base variant positioning it as the more affordable option in the lineup.
Vivo has not officially confirmed the complete specifications yet but more information is expected to emerge as the launch date gets closer.
