Crystal Matrix Limited (CML) and Suchi Semicon have been approved under the India Semiconductor Mission (ISM) to set up manufacturing units in Gujarat, with a combined investment of Rs. 3,963 crore. These projects are expected to create jobs for over 2,200 skilled professionals and help strengthen India’s electronics manufacturing sector.

Crystal Matrix Limited (CML)
Crystal Matrix Limited will set up its semiconductor unit in Dholera, Gujarat. The facility will focus on compound semiconductor fabrication and ATMP to manufacture mini- and micro-LED display modules using Gallium Nitride (GaN) technology. This will be India’s first commercial-scale facility in this area.
The project is expected to support high-value electronics manufacturing and help reduce reliance on imports. It will also create jobs in technical and operational roles, benefiting the local economy and workforce.
Suchi Semicon
Suchi Semicon’s approved project will be set up in Surat, where it will establish an Outsourced Semiconductor Assembly and Test (OSAT) facility.
This facility will produce discrete semiconductor components, with a planned annual capacity of more than 1,033 million chips.
The products will serve key industries such as power electronics, automotive systems, industrial automation, and consumer electronics. These sectors are seeing strong demand as digitisation and electrification increase.
