Vivo has once again expanded its Y6 series lineup with the launch of the Vivo Y6 5G in China. The company has recently released Vivo Y6t 5G model in the same lineup as well. The latest smartphone shares a key highlight with the Y6t 5G as it is also powered by the Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 chipset. Here’s a closer look at the specifications, price and availability details of the newly launched smartphone.
Vivo Y6 5G Price and Availability
The Vivo Y6 5G has been listed on Vivo’s official China website and is available in Galaxy Silver, Phoenix Gold and Obsidian Black colour options.
The smartphone comes in three storage variants that include an 8GB RAM with 128GB storage variant priced at CNY 1799, a 12GB RAM with 128GB storage variant priced at CNY 1999 and a 12GB RAM with 256GB storage variant priced at CNY 2199.
Vivo Y6 5G – Key Features
The Vivo Y6 5G comes equipped with a 6.75-inch LCD HD+ display offering a resolution of 1570 x 720 pixels and a 120Hz refresh rate. The panel can deliver up to 1200 nits peak brightness, 1000 nits in professional mode and includes features such as global DC dimming for flicker-free viewing, anti-fatigue brightness adjustment, AI sleep mode for colour temperature optimisation and an eye protection mode.
Additionally, the display is TÜV Rheinland Low Blue Light certified.
The smartphone is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 processor built on a 4nm process. It runs on Android 16 with OriginOS 6 custom skin on top and offers up to 12GB LPDDR4X dual-channel RAM alongwith support for up to 12GB of virtual RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 3.1 internal storage.
It features a 50MP primary rear camera with support for up to 10x zoom housed in a squarish camera module. The setup also includes an infrared remote control, LED flash and a breathing light. On the front, the smartphone sports an 8MP selfie camera that supports up to 2x zoom.
The phone packs a massive 7200mAh Blue Ocean battery designed to function in extreme temperatures ranging from -20°C to 40°C. Vivo claims the battery can last up to 6 years with 1600 charge-discharge cycles. It also incorporates features like a healthy charging algorithm, 24-hour recharge protection, and direct drive power supply for stable performance while charging.
The smartphone supports 44W wired fast charging and also offers OTG reverse wired charging.
