Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman has shared an updated timeline in his latest Power On newsletter, offering a clearer picture of when Apple may finally unveil the M5 Pro and M5 Max MacBook Pro models.

According to Gurman, new MacBook Pro models equipped with the M5 Pro and M5 Max chips could launch as early as Monday, March 2. He notes that the timing of the release is closely linked to macOS Tahoe 26.3, with the launch window reportedly set for the week of March 2.

Gurman also points out that the currently available M4 Pro and M4 Max MacBook Pro models remain in short supply, which he sees as a strong indicator that refreshed models are imminent. As he writes, “The new MacBook Pros, meanwhile, are tied to the macOS 26.3 cycle that runs through March. The M4 versions of the high-end laptops remain in short supply, a telltale sign that new models are coming. A product launch is currently slated for as early as the week of March 2.”

What Other Apple Launches Are Expected?

Beyond the MacBook Pro refresh, Gurman also reiterated Apple’s broader Mac roadmap for the coming months. Following the launch of the M5 Pro and M5 Max MacBook Pro models, Apple is expected to introduce a new M5-powered MacBook Air, an updated Mac Studio, and a refreshed Studio Display.

As per existing rumours, the next Mac Studio could be offered with M5 Max and M5 Ultra chip options. Meanwhile, the new Studio Display is said to gain HDR support along with a higher refresh rate, potentially either 90Hz or 120Hz.

Looking further ahead, Apple is also reportedly working on a more affordable MacBook powered by the A18 Pro chip, which could launch sometime in the first half of the year. In addition, the company is said to be planning a new Mac mini as a successor to the M4 model, which itself marked the first major redesign of the Mac mini in more than a decade.

Later in the year, Apple is expected to unveil a redesigned MacBook Pro featuring OLED displays, a slimmer design, touch display support and next-generation M6 chips. All this would be rounding out what could be a packed year for Mac launches.
