The Vivo X300 recently surfaced on Geekbench, showcasing the raw power of the Dimensity 9500. The chipset will be officially announced on September 22, just a day before the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 launch. Complementing it, Vivo’s V3+ imaging chip will allow the X300 to record cinematic portrait video at 4K 60fps.
According to Han Boxiao, this will be a “first for both Android and Apple phones.” For comparison, the latest iPhone 17 series can shoot cinematic portrait video at 4K but only at 30fps, the same as Vivo’s outgoing X200 series. Han also teased that more details about the video capabilities will be revealed tomorrow.
Vivo has partnered with ARM and MediaTek to improve the NPU inside the Dimensity 9500, enabling millisecond-level motion tracking and ultra-fast shutter response. The chipset is also set to make the X300 the first smartphone to cross the 4 million mark on AnTuTu, as shown in a screenshot shared by Han.
Adding to the list of firsts, the Vivo X300 Ultra is tipped to debut as the world’s first phone with two 200MP cameras.
