Vivo X Fold 5 – Key Feature

The X Fold 5 sports an 8.03-inch inner AMOLED display with a sharp 2K+ resolution (2480×2200), adaptive 1-120Hz LTPO refresh rate, and up to 4500 nits peak brightness. The outer display is a 6.53-inch FHD+ LTPO AMOLED screen with the same refresh rate and brightness.

Both screens support 10.7 billion colors, Dolby Vision, and high-frequency PWM dimming to reduce eye strain. For protection, the inner screen uses UTG glass, while the outer has second-gen Armor Glass for better durability.

Under the hood, the phone is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, paired with up to 16GB LPDDR5X RAM and 1TB UFS 4.0 storage. Vivo’s custom hinge-integrated antenna design improves signal strength by 36% when folded, and network performance has been fine-tuned in collaboration with Qualcomm.

It runs OriginOS 5 based on Android 15, and introduces a new “Atomic Workbench” feature that allows up to five apps in split-screen, complete with drag-and-drop support for multitasking. The phone even integrates with Apple devices, supporting AirPods, Apple Watch (Series 6 and up), and Mac file sharing and screen extension.

The camera setup includes three 50MP sensors, a Sony IMX921 main camera with OIS, an ultra-wide, and a periscope telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom and 100x digital zoom. ZEISS optics and software offer enhanced portraits, macro shots, and improved low-light performance. Both screens have 20MP front cameras.

The phone features a 6000mAh Blue Ocean battery, developed with CATL. It uses 4th-gen silicon anode and 2nd-gen semi-solid-state battery tech, delivering 866Wh/L energy density and functioning in extreme cold down to -30°C. It supports 80W wired, 40W wireless, and reverse wireless charging.

Built with FS55 steel and carbon fiber, the reengineered hinge makes the foldable tough yet light. It’s the first foldable to be certified with IPX8, IPX9, and IPX9+ ratings, meaning it can survive 80°C water and high-pressure jets. It’s also IP5X rated for dust resistance and can operate in -20°C conditions.

Other features include dual stereo speakers, NFC, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.4, GPS with NavIC, and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. A unique touch, the inner screen can be replaced independently, a first in the industry.
