The has finally come out of the cocoon and is been recently launched in Taipei. Being unveiled for some time on the HTC’s website, the device comes packed with some powerful features to boast about in the range of widescreen category of smartphones.
Housing a 5.0-inch Corning Gorilla Glass 2 screen, it supports a 1080p full-HD display to offer a better visual experience at 440 ppi. The Butterfly runs on 1.5 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon quad-core processor and would have Android as the native support. However, it is yet not revealed that which version of Android would come installed in the device.
The device comes with a dedicated HTC ImageChip to work on the 8.0-megapixel primary and a 2.1-megapixel secondary camera. Moreover, the device will offer a 16 GB memory space on board and an expansion card slot supports for up to 32 GB. It is powered with a 2,020 mAh battery.
HTC seems to be on a launching spree these days, as the mobile giant has this year come out with a line up of smartphones in all genres. Be it getting large on larger display screens, hitting the Windows Phone 8 arena or for grabbing attention for smart design and smarter features equipped devices, HTC has made every move by adding an array of products to its portfolio. And with the launch of Butterfly, the mobile giant takes another step to the journey.
