Research In Motion (RIM), maker of Blackberry smartphones will introduce its BB 10 powered smartphones in February next year. The Canadian smartphone major is set to launch the latest BB 10 operating system on January 30th, 2013 and hopes to bring out the BB10 devices to consumers within 30 days of the official launch in multiple continents.
The company’s executives reckon that the latest operating system will get full carrier support over its launch next year. Presently, more than 50 carriers around the world are testing BlackBerry 10 and its smartphones.
RIM may be launching BB 10 operating system with two new smartphones””Laguna and Aristo. According to a leaked specs sheet by RapidBerry, the BB 10 based BlackBerry “˜Aristo’ is powered by 1.5 Ghz Qualcomm APQ8064 Krait quad core processor and 2 GB RAM. It also features Wi-Fi and GPS, NFC, Bluetooth 4.0, and up to 4 microphones for noise reduction. RapidBerry also revealed that Aristo will have a 2,800mAh battery, which can’t be removed.
On the other hand, BlackBerry Laguna will run on a Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM8960 processor and will have 1GB of RAM. The phone will sport a 4.2-inch capacitive touchscreen at a resolution of 1280 x 768 pixels. Laguna will also be featuring NFC, Bluetooth, WI-Fi and GPS. It will be powered by a 1,800mAh removable battery.
